This BLOG is dedicated to the Brilliant Global Platform YOUR BIG YEAR!!! - A Smaller Earth Initiative! All of you must repost this on all your BLOGs!!!

The efforts extended towards changing thousands of lives, impacting the world with his positivity and the wave of entrepreneurship he is creating are beyond an imagination one would expect out of a 24 year old Indian. I am proud to announce that this person is taking India's name to that level which not even our 5th 5 year plan would  speak about. I take all the pride in supporting him and want all of you to support him in this mission.

I am indeed glad to share that I am a finalist amongst TOP-111 around the world, and the feeling is beyond the world, inexplicable by all means. The platform is unique and the prize is life transforming indeed. For people with a global vision and a vision to change their nation and the world, through their actions, this can act as a nitrogen booster!!!

I am working towards winning this competition and want many more people to participate in this next year and prove their worth. I feel proud to share all the information about this platform with you all!
The Your Big Year Competition brings a large number of talented people from all over the world to compete on a common platform and the final 12 get to attend the Global Entrepreneurship Congress this year at Liverpool in March 2012.The prize is a life changing experience, which involves exploring countries and cultures, meeting World Leaders, innovators, and inspirational entrepreneurs, executing projects in different parts of the world.

"Last Year’s finalists were so incredibly impressive and showed how people from different countries can work together to make things happen. They had a hugely positive impact on me and I am now expecting this year’s competitors to do the same. There are many ways to make positive impact and the most important thing is to try and do so at every opportu-nity."

Chris Arnold is the founder! Chris’s professional experience is in leading and developing Businesses. An entrepreneurial spirit has put him in a position of Director in a number of com-panies and he has a motivational style of leadership. His increasing success & experience has provided him with the chance to acquire new skills, like guest speaker, and he has also become part of a number of steering groups and boards for regional and international organizations. Amongst others, these have included being Chair of the Further Education Enterprise Hubs Project, being on the Regional Board of the National Enterprise Academy, and now being on the Steering Group for the 2012 Global Entrepreneurship Congress - to be held in Liverpool!

His first goal however is to aggressively integrate cul-tural exchange and travel into education, citizenship and personal development. For Chris, traveling with a purpose and with the idea of giving something to an unfamiliar community is the best route to accelerated learning. He also clearly has a passion for facilitating entrepreneurship, as shown by some of the specific boards and steering groups he has worked on.

This year the YBY global festival is happening at Li-verpool in the month of March. Liverpool Vision is the city of Liverpool’s economic development com-pany. It was established at a critical stage in the city’s urban and economic renaissance. Now the company is enabling Liverpool to complete and accelerate the considerable economic recovery and growth we have witnessed over the last decade. They are focused on building a strong, sustainable economy that can com-pete more effectively in international markets than ever before.

Friends, I am really glad to share all this with you, and dream to make it to the finals of this and bring back loads of knowledge and experience for you all!

Yours
Sujit Lalwani

“TRY ENTREPRENEURSHIP”

Many young guns between the age group of 19-25 are really working on so many things today. Thanks to Internet, the kind of information that its providing is immense . Everyone today is updated, well equipped, have enough knowledge on almost everything & filled with world class ideas.

Malls to Cafés to hangouts to pubs to bars to technical fests to leadership talks to meditation centres to temples, everywhere people are there.  Everywhere people are learning.

I just happened to see all these things live & I just loved the kind of enthusiasm that’s prevailing everywhere. But what stuck me on my mind immediately was that what are these people doing actually.
I found many people sitting for interviews, doing higher education to make their carrier’s better, atending many extra certification programs & what not. Ultimately everybody are putting so much of efforts to get ‘One Decent job’.

Suddenly I asked myself, what is making them sell so short. Because the kind of knowledge they have & the kind of job they do, majority times are not matching. I see a electronics guy working on C, VB in a software company which he is not intersted at all, I see a journalism degree holder working for an event management compnay, I see a BBM passout sitting in the entry of an office as a receptionist. I’m not trying to tell that this job is cheap or that is not worth as such. But my point here is, having such potential & so much of support from family, relatives, society why cant they do something on their own, what they love.
Immediately my answer was to spread the message “TRY ENTREPRENEURSHIP”. Now majority feel that its risky. My answer would be:
“Most risky life is one who lives a risk free life”.
So step out friends. Step out of your house, step out of your comfort zone, try it once.
Because “ At this age, you have lot of courage”.

Failure is bound but you are young & you can bounce back. The moment Entrepreneurship is told, you all associate it with risk, failure etc. Believe me guys you can associate it with Success as well.

Success is a result of continous failures. Don’t hesitate to try. Anyway a job is always there to go back.
Try it once, you may be the next Ambani, Billgates, SteveJobs. Let the world feel proud about you one day. It all starts with trying.

Thank you & See you soon.

“YOUTHSHIP”

We are the future of our country. We are the fresh minds our country. We are the strength of our country. We are the beauty of our country. We are the majority stake of our country.

We here refers to ‘Youth’ who are useless in every manner according to the society. But I’m sorry, I understood this couple of years back,
“Youth are not Useless, Youth are Usedless”.
I meet a lot of youth who have immnese potential in them, but are suffering from deadliest diseases like Groupism, What will others think about me, Hypercompetition, etc.

Who are these Youth:
  • *      First category, who are extremely brilliant & who will always be in their own world without even putting an effort to understand the outside world.
  • *     Second category, who are extremely busy understanding the outside world & don't care to create one for them. Feel they know everything about the world but noting about themselves.
  • *      Third category who are always suffering from infeeriority complex, because they neither can be with first category, nor can be with second category.

In this kind of Scenario... wantedly or unwantedly youth are wasting a lot of time understanding each other & trying to become like others to achieve their dreams & goals.

My simple strong message to all the youth out there would be to “Follow your heart”. Listen to what your heart says. Don’t care a damn about the world. Whatever you are interested in keep doing that, keep doing that. Don’t expect anything in your initial phases. Do so much without expecting anything, which one day will return you so much that you never expected that.

“Believe in yourself”, because “If you donot believe in yourself, who else will”.
Continous efforts without expecting anything will surely & surely fetch you tremendous Success.
Keep yourself Ignited & Keep Walking, World will for sure recognize you soon.
Success is waiting for somebody who is Genuine.

Thank you & See you soon.

Extreme Emotions

All this while I have seen many people taking decisions based on some happenings in their life. No one analyses the entire situation & none have time to do it, because today’s generation are extremely busy. Busy doing Nothing.

What happens when we are at extreme positions, either very happy or very sad, we tend to form conclusions.
Suppose say for eg, When we win a tournament, organize a event, get desired marks, we always tend to think that we are the best, we have amazing potential, world looks amazing, we find opportunity in everything we see. Friends, arents, relatives, proffesors everybody look supporting.
On the other hand contrary when we fail in a subject or two, get ditched by our friends, get suspended from college, we feel that we are lost, we have no body to support, world sucks, no opportunities.
Neither of the situations are true friends. They are all moments of our life, that’s all.

My strong message to all of you would be,
“ Not to make any conclusions/decisions when you are too happy or too sad”.
When you are too happy just 'Feel & Enjoy the Moment'. When you are too sad just say it yourself, ‘This too Shall Pass’.

I very strongly believe that decisions with extreme emotions are always a failure.

Thank you, see you soon.

"Coffee with Sujit Lalwani"

Dedication- To My Mentor Er.Sujit Lalwani

Never watched even a single episode “Coffee with Karan”, but already been a part of more than a century of episodes “Coffee with Sujit Lalwani”.
It was ‘Bliss’ for me when I was with this great personality over a coffee @ Oberoi, 12 midnight discussing business ideas couple of months back & many such in CCD’s in almost every corner of the city.

What happened over these coffee meetings is tremendous  transformation  in myself. Change in mediocritic mentality to an entrepreneurial mindset, dreamer to a visionary.
Some of the greatest learning which I want to share it to the world that I learnt from Sujitji would be:
  • ·         Life is a journey of Self-Discovery.
  • ·         Power of Dreams.
  • ·         Art of Relationships.
  • ·         Importance of Business Networking.
  • ·         Entrepreneurship.

May be if I start eloborating on every single topic it would take pages together to explain, so many incidences to share. So anybody want to know more or learn more on these topics specially you can feel free to contact us via any medium. We are more than happy to teach, cos after all we are all brothers & sisters.

So I would like to conclude here with a strong note that: “A Lot Happened over Coffee”.

Thank you & See you Soon.

MY JOURNEY BEING A SALESMAN.......

It was my 2nd year engineering when, ‘by chance’ I got into this field of Marketing. Then, I just had intentions to make some pocket money so that I can avoid asking for that from my very strict dad. But over a period of time I started realizing that I was good at that. Slowly started liking it, almost by the end of a year I had fallen in love with it completely without even realizing it (love always happens like that you see). In this period I was exposed to enough number of clients, had fallen, got some knowledge & had built a team. But one thing I want to accept here is, I was not making enough money in the field for myself. But deep down I didn’t want to quit because, I was loving what I was doing. I used to enjoy. Slowly realized that I had joined engineering to become ‘Engineer Marketer’. Over this period of 24months is when I discovered myself. I found lot of passion in Marketing.

With many assumptions in my young mind, started off entrepreneurial journey with lot of faith & interest. It really worked out well for a couple of months. Ten months down the line lack of preparation and lack of self development/up gradation with enough assumptions on my mind, fell down royally.

No problem had to fall, so fell. But good thing is that I got solid exposure, knowledge at a comparatively less age. I became confident, very good organizer and an awesome salesman. (I love to call myself a salesman). Slowly with patience started understanding many aspects & arena’s of life. Started reading books, started travelling, & re-started to meet even more people. Biggest realization: If you stop, the world doesn’t stop. So took up marketing again, because I understood Marketing Is crudest form of Entrepreneurship. If you want to be an entrepreneur, you need to be master salesman.

Luckily today at mere 22, I’m a part of 3 start-up’s as the senior marketing in charge. Right company, right people, right age, right products, right ideas, right attitudes contributed & things are really shaping up well. Today I have enough confidence that I’ll be one of the young CMO’s in the coming times. Law of attraction works (I simply believe in it).

Awesome things about marketing that I have realized in my small journey:
You’ll meet people from different backgrounds.
You’ll travel to lot of places.
You’ll be busy always in doing new things or doing things in a new way.
Keeps you engaged in many things like, tweeting, Blogging etc.
It’s an adventure- all in all.

I love Marketing, I live Marketing.

Buy Books to Read, Understand & Implement and not to Collect, Display & Showoff.

I see a lot of my friends who buy books with the intention of reading it. Commendable, hats off to you people, because we can find only a handful of them in today’s world. But fortunately or unfortunately there motive of buying books majority times would be just because his/her friends own it. On the other hand, I don’t deny the fact that other half who really read them. But my only question to them would be are you really applying those things in your real life when the situation demands it.

The point that I’m trying to make here is not that whether you read books or not, it’s that please cultivate the habit of purchasing books ( it’s a better expense than movie), then sincerely spend some time reading it ( 15mins everyday at least) and start applying whatever you read in your  real life situations. This makes life more interesting & meaningful.

But sometimes we tend to do this, just because my friend or relative has bought a new book, we feel we should also buy that without even giving a thought whether we are going to read it or not and ultimately never read it. Then what happens, these books just goes to our collection and we display it in our book rack’s which finally leads to mere show-off and nothing else.

So my very strong message to all the readers would be to master the art of reading & teach the same to all your friends, colleagues & relatives.
Don’t forget “Readers are Leaders, Leaders are Readers”

3 nice quotes about books:
Remember it very strongly,

There is no friend as loyal as a book.
Ernest Hemingway
There is no such thing as a moral or an immoral book. Books are well written, or badly written.
Oscar Wilde
If one cannot enjoy reading a book over and over again, there is no use in reading it at all.

2012 - The Future Begins

******************************************************************
Born for Mediocre bought up in a lower middle class family had lot of dreams & wishes without backed up by any talent or potential. Service was in my blood, but I knew my dreams can never come true if I get into Service. I used to feel all my dreams are mere fantasies. Some of which were:  One day I would fly, I would wear suits & blazers, I would attend leadership summits, I would drive cars, and I would travel nations, bla bla bla & what not. But somewhere deep down my heart, I had a very strong faith in my dreams & a kind of raw confidence which tells me always that, it’ll happen. But never knew how. How was a big??? For me.

After 4 years of my entrepreneurial life 2 times failing miserably along with lot of breaks heard about “The Secret” which is indeed a Secret which taught me what & how to use ‘Law of Attraction’. I took it seriously & started believing it, as a result of which two miracles happened in my life. My belief became stronger & within a matter of say 16-18months started travelling, driving car, attending conferences, wearing suits bla…

Have to thank god, parents & mentor here. I have always been blessed with right, good set of people along with me throughout my life. Many out are really deprived of this. I’m really rich & filthy when it comes to this aspect of having good companions. In fact my high school teacher very proudly said “you are with the right people, you’ll really fly in your life”, felt really proud when I heard this & thanked god for everything.

2012 I promise you my friends. At least 3-5 International Business & Educational trips, 20-50 cities in India, leadership Summits, I’ll be there. I’ll really work hard to make my parents, friends & every fellow Indian feel proud about me.

Law of attraction works. Dreams have power. Believe in your dreams. Believe in yourself. All shall fall in place.

We Know it all

******************************************************************
We all know - But we still don’t do it.

We all know that we should respect our elders, teachers, etc. But we hardly do.
We all know that health is the most important thing to be taken care, but still many a times we neglect it.
We all know that it takes right attitudes to become successful, but we don’t spend building the right ones.
We all know that everybody need to sell one or the other thing on this earth, but we hate to be called as salesman.
We all know that we shouldn't kill the spirit of a person, but we do it almost every day.
We all know what it takes to become successful, but we fail to do what we know.
We all know what's needed to make our life colorful, but many times we fail to fill those colors.

The biggest disease of this generation is, almost everybody knows everything. But what most of them fail to realize is that, Just knowing things can’t take them anywhere, But Doing can.
My sincere suggestion to all of you would be start using the information that you know to do something.
Stop thinking & Start Doing.
God will not appreciate for having the best ideas of the world,
Rather he would definitely appreciate the idea which is executed even if it is worst.

Knowing is no more called knowing, Doing is knowing.

Coffee & Success have something in Similar

Achieving Success in life is very similar to preparing a cup of coffee.
Anybody can tell what it takes to prepare coffee, but unfortunately very few can prepare coffee.llly Anybody can tell what it takes to become Successful, but unfortunately very few can become Successful.
To make a cup of coffee we would obviously need milk, sugar, and coffee powder... llly to become successful we need talent, potential, hard work, honesty…
To prepare a cup of coffee,  We need to light the gas, put a cup of milk in a tumbler, keep it on gas so that it boils, then we need to put one or two spoons of sugar & then coffee powder according to taste, so that coffee will be ready. But if we try to reverse the order or put slightly more/less sugar or coffee powder, it'll not be coffee anymore.
That’s the sole reason why we all love coffee from CCD's & not the one that we prepare by ourselves. This is because CCD’s know how exactly to prepare the right coffee & get the right taste. They know the right process, they are Experts at it, and of course our mother’s as well.
Very similar is the story of successful people, they know how to get it right & they have become successful. Even a little difference while applying these qualities wouldn't have made them successful. And let me remind you, this mastery or expertise comes only with experience & nothing else. Experience can never be replaced by anything on this earth.
Well talking about experience, I remember an interview that happened with CEO who was very successful at a very young age & he was known for his short answers replies. Here it goes:
·         Interviewer: What’s the secret of your Success?
·         CEO: Right Judgments.
·         Inter'r: How are you able to take right judgments at this young age?
·         CEO: Experience.
·         Inter'r: How did you get this much of experience?
·         CEO: Wrong judgments.
Just to conclude on this, how coffee making is an art, so is Success an art. Learn the art & you’ll be a champ. People would then love to come to you, be with you & stay with you. (Just like the e.g. of CCD’s)

!!!Wish you a very good luck!!!
