MY JOURNEY BEING A SALESMAN.......

It was my 2nd year engineering when, ‘by chance’ I got into this field of Marketing. Then, I just had intentions to make some pocket money so that I can avoid asking for that from my very strict dad. But over a period of time I started realizing that I was good at that. Slowly started liking it, almost by the end of a year I had fallen in love with it completely without even realizing it (love always happens like that you see). In this period I was exposed to enough number of clients, had fallen, got some knowledge & had built a team. But one thing I want to accept here is, I was not making enough money in the field for myself. But deep down I didn’t want to quit because, I was loving what I was doing. I used to enjoy. Slowly realized that I had joined engineering to become ‘Engineer Marketer’. Over this period of 24months is when I discovered myself. I found lot of passion in Marketing.

With many assumptions in my young mind, started off entrepreneurial journey with lot of faith & interest. It really worked out well for a couple of months. Ten months down the line lack of preparation and lack of self development/up gradation with enough assumptions on my mind, fell down royally.

No problem had to fall, so fell. But good thing is that I got solid exposure, knowledge at a comparatively less age. I became confident, very good organizer and an awesome salesman. (I love to call myself a salesman). Slowly with patience started understanding many aspects & arena’s of life. Started reading books, started travelling, & re-started to meet even more people. Biggest realization: If you stop, the world doesn’t stop. So took up marketing again, because I understood Marketing Is crudest form of Entrepreneurship. If you want to be an entrepreneur, you need to be master salesman.

Luckily today at mere 22, I’m a part of 3 start-up’s as the senior marketing in charge. Right company, right people, right age, right products, right ideas, right attitudes contributed & things are really shaping up well. Today I have enough confidence that I’ll be one of the young CMO’s in the coming times. Law of attraction works (I simply believe in it).

Awesome things about marketing that I have realized in my small journey:
You’ll meet people from different backgrounds.
You’ll travel to lot of places.
You’ll be busy always in doing new things or doing things in a new way.
Keeps you engaged in many things like, tweeting, Blogging etc.
It’s an adventure- all in all.

I love Marketing, I live Marketing.

Buy Books to Read, Understand & Implement and not to Collect, Display & Showoff.

I see a lot of my friends who buy books with the intention of reading it. Commendable, hats off to you people, because we can find only a handful of them in today’s world. But fortunately or unfortunately there motive of buying books majority times would be just because his/her friends own it. On the other hand, I don’t deny the fact that other half who really read them. But my only question to them would be are you really applying those things in your real life when the situation demands it.

The point that I’m trying to make here is not that whether you read books or not, it’s that please cultivate the habit of purchasing books ( it’s a better expense than movie), then sincerely spend some time reading it ( 15mins everyday at least) and start applying whatever you read in your  real life situations. This makes life more interesting & meaningful.

But sometimes we tend to do this, just because my friend or relative has bought a new book, we feel we should also buy that without even giving a thought whether we are going to read it or not and ultimately never read it. Then what happens, these books just goes to our collection and we display it in our book rack’s which finally leads to mere show-off and nothing else.

So my very strong message to all the readers would be to master the art of reading & teach the same to all your friends, colleagues & relatives.
Don’t forget “Readers are Leaders, Leaders are Readers”

3 nice quotes about books:
Remember it very strongly,

There is no friend as loyal as a book.
Ernest Hemingway
There is no such thing as a moral or an immoral book. Books are well written, or badly written.
Oscar Wilde
If one cannot enjoy reading a book over and over again, there is no use in reading it at all.

Up there's GOD, Down there's Google

*****************************************************************************************
If you can envision one religion for the Globe, that would be GooGle in my viewpoint. GooGle derived from the word Googol which means 10000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000(1 followed by 100 zero's) talks about the richness of the information available to the users.

Students, Teacher's, Artists, Corporate, Entrrepreneurs, NGO's everybody's friend, Google has:
*1Trillion+Sites Indexed
*Most relevant information
*Varying file formats
